Owned and Founded by Quinlan Svetlana, formerly known under the moniker of Eous Stardust, The Poet is a social club started during the short-lived Prohibition Era of Seawynne. The Poet was a collaboration between Quin and his business partner, Alexander “Preacher” Church. Alexander became his rum-runner, and Quin took care of things back home.
Because of The Poet’s history, it’s an underground establishment, very much reminiscent of its glory days. With a full bar and kitchen, two stages - one dedicated to aerial silks and other acrobatics, the other better suited for musicians and other such acts - and shelves lined with all number of trinkets and books, The Poet looks as if the Prohibition had never ended.
This is a social club, and thus, membership is required. For the most part. It’s actually quite easy to get through The Poet’s doors, with or without the silver pin that acts as one’s “membership card”. Friends of friends, guests, all are welcome within The Poet’s walls, from those of the Thieves Guild, to the Queen’s themselves, if they truly wanted to visit.
The Poet is, however, Neutral Ground. Fighting, arguments and the like are punishable by being thrown out and banned for life. For this reason, many woolynes see this place as a “safe spot”.
Guild Leads
Currently, Quinlan Svetlana and Alexander Church are the front runners of the establishment and social club, though Quinlan is certainly the face of the bar.
